Ballarat and Stamford looks good together.

Collaborator of Stamford College - University of Ballarat, came to pay a visit their partner on the 21st of April 2011 at Jalan Barat campus. One of the professor from Ballarat even held a speech just for the students to prepare for their future. By night, their visit were well appreciated with dinner by prepared by Stamford. By all means, the bond between Ballarat and Stamford seems inevitable.



Ponggal Festival in Stamford.

The Indian Cultural Society of Stamford has done a Ponggal festival at Jalan 223 Campus on 18th of January 2011. The staffs and students of Stamford all gathered to celebrate the occasion. Prominences group of Stamford also attend to brighten up the occasion. It is a pinnacle steps for all Stamfordians to 'breaking the ice' and mingle around with the people around as being a part of Stamford College.

MGMT in Malaysia.

It was a ‘Flash Delirium’ of fans, all expressing their love for MGMT on 25th March, Friday night at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian Indoor Arena. The psychedelic rock band from Connecticut, USA gave Kuala Lumpur a show to store in our memory banks for ‘Future Reflections’. They played their sing-along smash hit ‘Kids’ along with other crowd faves like ‘Weekend Wars’, ‘Pieces of What’, ‘Siberian Breaks’ and others. 


 


Stamford's Media Student in Finas




The Diploma in Media and Communications students attended a week of training on the finer aspects of broadcasting, including TV and film production on Monday 4 April 2011. Nine students from Stamford, together with the lecturer, Encik Hadi and Mr Devaraj Arul were at hand to meet with the trainer, the vastly experienced Encik Hafsham (third from the left), who has been in the film industry for over 50 years.
“This training at FINAS really augments our classroom lectures. We were given the opportunity to handle equipment used to shoot films and documentaries, besides being shown how news reports are compiled and broadcast over TV. It was really a fantastic experience,” said Kennedy, a trainee.
The training at FINAS is for a period of 5 days and is intended to give Media students hands on practical knowledge on a broad range of aspects involving broadcasting and TV and film production.

Industry Talk by Puan Siti Haryati Zolkpli at Stamford College PJ

The School of Media studies organized a talk for their students at Stamford College Jalan Barat. The talk was Puan Siti Haryati Zolkpli from Telekom Malaysia and the topic of the talk was "How to organize a PR campaign." The talk was held at the activity room at the Barat, 29th of March 2011.

Limelight competition at Stamford Barat

Limelight competition held on 27th April 2011 at Stamford Jalan Barat. It is a singing competition with the main purpose to raise fund for the Tsunami and Earthquake that hit Japan. Limelight was a successful event hosted by the semester one of from diploma of mass communication. The lecturer in charge was Ms.Rabiah Adawiah.

The winner of the event is Amanda Charmaine and she took away the grand prize of RM300. Congratulations goes to her and praise of her outstanding performance.
